I made this sunhat for a one year old baby. It's a great pattern and can easily be enlarged by simply adding more seam allowance. It's very forgiving and I have made the same cap from red velvet for a little red riding hood costume for my daughter. Photos are still to be taken ;).
... and just for fun .... as I couldn't resist asking my 5-year old daughter to try it on, although of course it would be too small for her:
